Mencken's observations and commentaries have withstood the test of time -- with appalling modern relevance. I invite all commentary that debunks the prevailing nonsense in America's political and social dialogue. Baltimore's Bonaparte: Founder of the federal "Bureau of Investigation"
A reform-minded lawyer from Baltimore, who happened to be Napoleon's grand-nephew, founded what became the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Attorney General under President Theodore Roosevelt, his reputation for integrity, honesty and courage should be the standard for his successor today.
